AI Engineer NLP (Python & Go – Bridging ML and Platform)

ARTIDIS seeks a mid-level AI Engineer to bridge NLP/ML and platform teams, building scalable AI systems using Python and Go in regulated medical environments.

This position operates at the crossroads of the machine learning and backend engineering groups. The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering practices to create robust, production-ready AI solutions that connect research with reliable service architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and launch agentic NLP applications and LLM-driven workflows across Python ML pipelines and Go backend services.
• Serve as the liaison between NLP and platform teams, converting ML needs into scalable backend designs and translating backend constraints to ML teams.
• Maintain and improve code in both Python and Go repositories, focusing on clean interfaces and seamless integration.
• Design modular architectures for LLM orchestration, API development, and service communication, including microservices, RPC, and REST.
• Guarantee system reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance within medical contexts.
• Establish evaluation, monitoring, and observability practices across the entire stack, covering both models and services.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver complete AI features from initial research through to production deployment.

Requirements

• Proficient in Python engineering, with deep knowledge of advanced object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with type-safe development using type hints, mypy, and pydantic.
• Demonstrated ability to write tested, maintainable, and production-grade code.
• Proven track record of building and deploying LLM/NLP systems in production environments, including familiarity with LangChain, Google ADK, and HuggingFace.
• Strong backend development skills in Go, particularly in API and service design.
• Solid understanding of modern NLP/LLM workflows, including orchestration and evaluation strategies.
• Comfortable using Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Able to design systems with long-term scalability and maintainability as core considerations.

• Experience in backend, frontend, or full-stack development beyond core responsibilities.
