Application Engineer

RBC Schaublin seeks a Senior Application Engineer in Delémont, CH, to manage spherical plain bearing projects for aerospace, railway, and industrial sectors, providing technical support and ensuring product compliance.

The company is looking for a Senior Application Engineer to oversee spherical plain bearing projects tailored to customer specifications in aerospace, railway, and industrial fields. This role involves designing, planning, and monitoring these projects while offering technical assistance to internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new applications and develop technical solutions to guarantee product performance.
• Support the Sales and Product Management teams with expertise in spherical plain bearing design, cost analysis, customer service, quality assurance, production, and new application reviews.
• Collaborate with clients to address technical issues and deliver technical presentations alongside Sales Engineers at key accounts.
• Serve as a technical consultant for product design, application, service issues, quality deviations, and material or parts substitutions.
• Ensure all detail process step drawings align with requirements and technical specifications.
• Define bearing testing requirements and test plans, then report test results to customers to secure product approval.
• Approve new product designs and release them to manufacturing.
• Act as a project manager for management and customer interactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in bearing design and applications.
• Experience in project management.
• Strong team working, open-minded, and good communication skills.

Nice to have

• Fluency in three languages, including French and English.
