Assistant Manager - FS IT Audit & IT Risk Consulting

KPMG AG seeks a Senior Assistant Manager to lead IT audit and risk consulting engagements for financial services clients in Geneva, combining advisory work with team leadership in a hybrid setup.

The company is looking for a professional to guide financial services clients through the evolution of their IT risk frameworks and assurance processes. In this role, you will oversee external audit engagements, provide strategic advisory on regulatory compliance, and help shape the future of IT governance within the banking sector.

Responsibilities

  • Lead external IT audit projects tied to financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee IT assurance engagements, such as ISAE 3402 and ISAE 3000, to validate control environments for major IT service providers.
  • Deliver advisory and assurance services covering IT risk management, cyber security, critical data handling, business continuity, and operational resilience.
  • Advise top-tier banking clients on IT risk governance and regulatory compliance during their digital transformation efforts.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in consulting solutions delivered to clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities by cultivating internal and external relationships and contributing to proposal development.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships while fostering new partnerships.
  • Mentor junior team members and take an active role in team development and culture shaping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, engineering, finance, or business informatics.
  • Over six years of experience in a Big 4 or IT consulting firm, specifically performing IT audits, risk advisory, or consulting projects for financial service clients.
  • Proven track record in executing client engagements within IT assurance or risk advisory.
  • Deep knowledge of risk and compliance, along with a strong grasp of emerging technology trends and innovations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for business development, and a preference for collaborative, customer-focused environments.
  • Fluency in French and proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel for client engagements both domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in COBIT, ITIL, and/or project management.
  • Experience with financial services regulatory frameworks (banking, asset management, insurance).
  • German language proficiency.
