PwC in Zug seeks a Senior Associate/Assistant Manager for its Asset Management Audit practice. The role focuses on financial statement audits for private equity and asset management clients, ensuring regulatory compliance and leveraging digital tools.
This position sits within the Audit - Asset Management practice at PwC Switzerland. The team partners with prominent private equity and asset management firms to help them navigate complex regulatory environments and foster investor confidence. By blending specialized industry knowledge with modern digital audit technologies, the group delivers valuable insights to clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and finalization of financial statement audits for asset managers and private equity funds, ensuring adherence to US GAAP, IFRS, Lux GAAP, and Swiss GAAP standards.
- Evaluate complex investment valuations spanning private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate sectors.
- Verify client adherence to FINMA regulations and perform supervisory audits as required.
- Prepare audit documentation for Partner review and assist in communicating key findings to client management teams and Boards of Directors.
- Utilize digital audit platforms and data analytics to organize, visualize, and share actionable insights with clients.
- Develop and sustain robust client relationships, providing guidance on technical accounting issues and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with international colleagues across the USA, Europe, and other regions.
- Mentor and guide junior staff through constructive feedback, knowledge exchange, and practical on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Be pursuing or have completed a Swiss CPA, US CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional certification.
- Possess a minimum of three years of audit experience, including at least three busy seasons, preferably with exposure to asset management, private equity, or private markets clients at a Big 4 or similar firm.
- Demonstrate solid working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and/or Lux GAAP and Swiss GAAP (or Swiss GAAP FER).
- Exhibit a strong analytical mindset and commitment to high-quality standards, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and investment structures.
- Have experience or a keen interest in digital audit transformation, automation tools, and data analytics.
- Communicate fluently and effectively in English.
- Work collaboratively as a team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
Nice to have
- Understanding of SEC filing requirements.
- Familiarity with FINMA regulatory requirements and experience conducting supervisory audits.
- German skills.
