Deloitte SA seeks a Manager for Individual US Tax in Basel, Geneva, or Zurich. The role focuses on global mobility tax compliance, US tax return review, and client advisory for multinational corporations.
The company is looking for a professional to guide multinational organizations in managing global mobility programs efficiently. This position involves overseeing end-to-end global compensation for mobile employees, ensuring tax compliance, and providing strategic advice on US tax matters. The role also includes final sign-off on US tax returns before client delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate worldwide tax compliance services by working directly with clients and Deloitte offices globally.
- Review and approve US individual income tax returns for both resident and non-resident taxpayers, covering forms such as 1040, 114, 8938, 1116, 2555, and 8858, as well as other forms relevant to US residents with international activities.
- Examine and approve tax reconciliations and tax equalization calculations, while managing additional tasks to ensure successful delivery of global mobility programs for clients.
- Supervise the work quality and task completion of junior team members.
- Apply and interpret International Assignment Policies to guarantee consistent global tax treatment for various assignment compensation items and allowances.
- Advise clients on tax and social security implications of global employment issues, including tax residency, double taxation avoidance, and taxation of complex compensation like severance payments and incentive income.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Accountancy, or Law.
- Possess at least 5 years of US tax experience or knowledge, along with a relevant qualification such as EA or CPA.
- Communicate fluently in English.

- Experience in global mobility or a Big-4 firm.
- Knowledge of additional languages.
