This position leads a specialized team of auditors responsible for examining Asset/Liability Management, Investment Management, and Treasury functions. The director drives comprehensive, risk-based audits to ensure robust governance and control processes while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership to strengthen the overall control environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a high-performing audit team specializing in Asset Management and Treasury.
- Oversee the complete audit lifecycle to guarantee timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments to pinpoint emerging and residual risks.
- Set priorities for audit activities based on the level of risk exposure.
- Present key findings, root causes, and actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Provide concise, risk-focused reports to Senior Management, Audit Committees, and the Executive Board.
- Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Coach team members and provide constructive challenges to support their professional growth.
- Collaborate across different functions and regions to deliver holistic insights and promote a culture of trust and inclusion.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of experience in financial markets, specifically in treasury, investments, and asset management.
- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership and management experience within a global organization.
- Extensive knowledge of financial instruments, investment products, and capital markets.
- Ability to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of financial data, including valuation models, pricing mechanisms, and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing asset management activities.
- Strong expertise in internal audit methodologies, project management, and risk management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of agile frameworks.
- Experience with audit systems and software such as TeamMate or JIRA.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or CIA is preferred.
