Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking an Audit Manager (80-100%) based in Zürich to lead audits across the Life insurance value chain. The role focuses on delivering high-quality audits, leveraging data analytics and AI, and fostering team development within a global, digital-first audit function.

In this position, you will oversee a portfolio of audits spanning the entire Life insurance value chain, ensuring robust controls protect both clients and the business while driving continuous improvement through technological innovation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver audit engagements that meet high-quality standards, adhere to timelines, and stay within budget constraints.
- Partner with specialized Centers of Excellence to refine audit methodologies and improve overall outcomes.
- Integrate data analytics, IT fundamentals, and Agentic AI into audit workflows, encouraging team adoption of these tools.
- Draft and present clear, actionable audit reports with key findings and agreed-upon actions to senior leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain constructive, open relationships with stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle and beyond.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, coaching team members and modeling a growth mindset.
- Develop personal expertise in data, IT, and Agentic AI to future-proof audit capabilities and enhance delivery.
- Contribute to risk assessment processes, audit planning, team meetings, and training sessions.
- Collaborate across all organizational levels during audits to maximize results and alignment.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards and ensure strict compliance with relevant regulations, internal policies, and audit standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree and/or professional certification such as CIA, chartered accountant, actuarial qualification, or CII (or equivalent).
- At least seven years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance, with a strong focus on Life insurance.
- Proven track record working within complex, fast-paced, and international environments.
- Deep knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, methodology, and internal control frameworks, paired with strong report writing abilities.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of Life insurance operations and products, including underwriting, claims, pricing, policy servicing, customer/complaints, distribution/commissions, fraud, and reinsurance.
- Solid grasp of data analytics, IT fundamentals, and Agentic AI, with practical experience applying these tools.
- Strong project management capabilities, including team organization, task prioritization, guidance, and coaching to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Fluent verbal and written proficiency in English.
