Risk & Insurance Manager

Sika AG seeks a Risk & Insurance Manager in Zürich to lead group risk oversight, insurance program management, and internal control support within a hybrid work model.

The company is launching a dedicated Group Risk Management team to enhance the oversight of organizational risks, internal controls, and insurance coverage. This role serves as the central point for strengthening these functions across the global enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and reduce risks by developing insurance strategies and reviewing existing policies.
• Oversee the global insurance portfolio, including liability, property, business interruption, cyber, D&O, and transport coverage, while managing relationships with insurers, brokers, and internal entities.
• Streamline insurance operations, focusing on data collection, claims processing, and the allocation of insurance costs.
• Negotiate policy terms to ensure alignment with business needs and manage the annual renewal cycle.
• Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and the Internal Control System.
• Provide expert advice and support on risk and insurance matters to various Group companies.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and optimal risk coverage.

Requirements

• University degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, or administration.
• 5–7 years of demonstrated experience in insurance management.
• Prior experience working within a multinational manufacturing setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, including captives and alternative risk transfer mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Swiss insurance regulations.
• Business fluency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work autonomously with a high degree of independence.
• Strong analytical capabilities and a precise, detail-oriented working style.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A focus on understanding and meeting business requirements.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
