Backend Application Developer (Core Specialist Tier)

ALLPS GmbH seeks a Backend Application Developer for a 3-year contract in Basel. The role focuses on designing scalable microservices and enterprise backend systems for the energy sector, requiring native-level German and strong .NET/SQL expertise.

The company is looking for a specialist to support a long-term enterprise initiative in Basel through a three-year contract, with the possibility of extension. In this position, the developer will translate complex business processes and energy-sector transactions into robust, highly available server designs and microservice architectures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document detailed business needs to design structural software components and backend applications.
• Establish runtime profiles that ensure high availability, automated horizontal scaling, and strong security standards.
• Design and manage relational database schemas, including both normalized and denormalized structures, alongside optimized object-relational mapping.
• Develop, test, and maintain enterprise web service integrations using asynchronous RESTful APIs and microservice patterns.
• Implement identity federation solutions across legacy and modern systems using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0.
• Provision and maintain isolated runtime environments for local, staging, and continuous testing purposes.
• Provide tier-3 diagnostic support to identify, reproduce, and permanently fix complex defects in high-load production systems.

Requirements

• Three to five or more years of experience in enterprise software development within multi-tier server architectures.
• Proficiency with .NET Framework (including version 4.0) and .NET Core.
• Strong background in database management, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Solid understanding of MVC architecture principles.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Native-level or flawless business proficiency in German (C1/C2 level) for both written and spoken communication.
• Holding EU/EFTA nationality or possessing a valid Swiss permanent residency (C Permit) or unrestricted work permit (B/G Permit).
