The company seeks a Commissioning Engineer to handle commissioning, root-cause analysis, and customer training for sorting and distribution systems in the CEP industry. This mid-level role supports PLC control migration and is fully remote.
This position focuses on commissioning sorting and distribution systems within existing CEP industry installations. The engineer will also assist in developing hardware solutions for PLC control migration and conduct root-cause analyses alongside acceptance tests. Additionally, the role includes preparing customer documentation and delivering training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning tasks using TIA application software (PLC / WinCC) for sorting and distribution systems in existing CEP industry installations.
- Assist in developing hardware solutions for PLC control migration S5 → S7 / PC → S7.
- Independently perform root-cause analyses and acceptance tests according to system-specific and customer-specific requirements.
- Prepare customer documentation and conduct customer training sessions.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a degree in automation engineering or automation informatics; alternatively, a comparable qualification as a technician or master craftsman.
- Good knowledge in S7 control hardware/software, WinCC, drive and inverter technology, networks, and MS Office.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Initial experience in commissioning conveyor systems.
- Initial experience with sorting and distribution systems in the CEP industry.
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
