Compliance Officer

Banca Popolare di Sondrio Suisse seeks a Compliance Officer in Lugano to ensure adherence to Swiss financial regulations and internal policies within the General Management team.

This position sits within the General Management team in Lugano. The main objective is to guarantee that the bank follows all applicable regulatory standards and internal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee adherence to Swiss financial rules and the bank's internal compliance structures.
• Detect, evaluate, and reduce compliance risks throughout banking activities.
• Perform routine audits and assessments of operational procedures.
• Educate and advise employees on compliance obligations.
• Draft and file necessary regulatory reports with relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background in compliance roles within banking or financial services.
• Deep understanding of Swiss banking legislation and anti-money laundering (AML) rules.
• Native-level proficiency in German and/or Italian.
• Competent English communication skills.
