Compliance Officer / MLRO Switzerland & Liechtenstein

The company seeks a Senior Compliance Officer and MLRO for its Switzerland and Liechtenstein operations based in Zürich. The role focuses on regulatory adherence, AML oversight, and group-level compliance projects.

Keyrock is looking for a dedicated professional to join its Group Compliance team. This position centers on managing regulatory adherence for the Switzerland and Liechtenstein entities while contributing to broader group-level initiatives. The successful candidate will help shape the global compliance framework and support the organization's expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Create and enforce policies to ensure adherence to Swiss and Liechtenstein regulations.
  • Perform compliance risk evaluations and draft an annual compliance strategy.
  • Design and execute second-line control plans, including testing procedures.
  • Evaluate upcoming business initiatives to spot potential regulatory risks.
  • Distribute compliance policies to relevant staff and verify their understanding.
  • Maintain and update compliance training programs to ensure they remain current.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and adjust internal procedures accordingly.
  • Partner with internal teams like Trading Operations, Finance, Risk, and IT to embed compliance into workflows.
  • Oversee AML obligations for Keyrock CH and LI, serving as the primary point of contact for anti-money laundering efforts.
  • Execute MLRO duties in line with the AML/CTF Framework.
  • Represent the Swiss and Liechtenstein entities in all internal and external AML prevention matters.
  • Act as the go-to expert for AML/CTF issues, offering guidance to the compliance team and other departments.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to verify adherence to AML/CTF rules and internal standards.
  • Prepare compliance alerts and recommendations, and assist the Group Head of Compliance or Group General Counsel with management reports.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Compliance officer (2nd line of defense) within a regulated financial institution in Switzerland and/or Liechtenstein, with prior MLRO experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with Swiss and Liechtenstein regulatory authorities.
  • Deep understanding of financial regulations including MiCAR, AML/CTF, market abuse, and data privacy.
  • A relevant degree, preferably in business or law.
  • Extensive experience in implementing monitoring and control processes to support policies and procedures.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with the digital assets ecosystem.
  • A compliance qualification such as ACAMS or a Master's degree in a related field.
