Consultant, Climate Change and Sustainability Services Financial Services, Zurich

Ernst & Young AG seeks a Mid-level Consultant for Climate Change and Sustainability Services in Zurich. The role focuses on sustainable finance projects, requiring strong analytical skills and fluency in German and English.

This position is part of the Assurance Advisory team within EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services division. The consultant will engage in high-impact projects centered on sustainable finance, helping clients address strategic sustainability issues while contributing to the firm’s thought leadership and capability development.

Responsibilities

• Execute client projects covering various sustainability topics.
• Develop innovative commercial insights and support thought leadership initiatives.
• Enhance operational efficiency for both client projects and internal efforts.
• Work with colleagues across different disciplines and geographies to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Help build and refine EY’s technical capabilities in sustainability areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, economics, environmental sciences, or a related discipline.
• Prior internship or work experience in ESG, sustainable finance, or climate risk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple deliverables across parallel projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with non-financial reporting or integrated reporting projects.
• Solid understanding of SDGs, GHG accounting, PCAF, carbon footprinting, or Life Cycle Analysis.
• French language proficiency.
• Familiarity with AI topics and tools.
