Data Ops Engineer

EFG International seeks a Senior Data Ops Engineer in Geneva to manage data pipeline reliability, CI/CD automation, and operational excellence within a global private banking context.

The DataOps platform team at EFG International is dedicated to maintaining high service levels across all technological components of the data infrastructure. This position focuses on constructing and refining the CI/CD platform that facilitates data pipeline deployments, ensuring robust and automated integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational aspects of designated data services, including change control, quality assurance, service level agreements, and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and support critical data pipelines during Asian business hours as part of a follow-the-sun support structure.
• Architect, build, and enhance data pipelines for both batch processing and streaming scenarios.
• Apply CI/CD methodologies to automate and streamline deployment and integration workflows.
• Develop, update, and refine operational documentation and procedural guides.
• Work with cross-functional groups to enhance governance and review processes for integration operations.
• Uphold strict standards for data quality, system reliability, and performance efficiency.
• Keep abreast of new developments in data engineering and the DataOps technology stack to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of practical experience in data engineering and pipeline deployment, with a strong foundation in DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Databricks.
• Solid background in using leading CI/CD platforms and processes within hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks.
• Fluent command of spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of microservices architecture, API management, and observability tools.
• Ability to communicate in French.
