Ärztekasse seeks a Database Engineer in Thônex to manage and optimize diverse database platforms while supporting a major datacenter renewal project.
The company delivers eHealth solutions and business process outsourcing to help healthcare professionals focus on patient care. As part of a comprehensive datacenter renewal, this role is critical for ensuring the reliability and performance of the underlying database infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Operate and optimize various database systems including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, MS SQL, SAP ASE, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Guarantee the security, availability, and performance of all database services.
- Conduct performance tuning and analyze metrics to support capacity planning and resolve issues proactively.
- Maintain databases within a Kubernetes-based cloud environment.
- Apply DevOps methodologies using tools such as Mimir, Flux, and Helm.
- Ensure strict adherence to data security standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience as a Database Engineer or Administrator.
- Proven background in managing databases within cloud-native settings, with specific expertise in Kubernetes.
- Strong proficiency in DevOps practices and automation techniques.
- Solid understanding of security best practices and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
Nice to have
- Extensive hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, SAP ASE, Sybase, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Additional proficiency in German or French is considered an advantage.
