Design Engineer - Studio Team

Restream.io seeks a mid-level Design Engineer for its Studio Team to develop product features from concept to implementation, working remotely in Switzerland. The role requires expertise in UX design, Figma, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with a focus on user engagement and collaboration across teams.

This role is responsible for shaping product features from initial concept through design and into implementation, ensuring a seamless user experience and contributing to the product’s overall direction.

Responsibilities

• Develop product features in full, from idea to design and implementation
• Design and build UI/UX and business logic for new and existing features
• Create and refine features to improve user engagement and conversion rates
• Work closely with product, marketing, and customer support teams to define feature scope and product direction
• Participate in code reviews with the engineering team
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify potential improvements in the current environment

Requirements

• Strong grasp of UX design processes and strategic thinking
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality user experiences
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing past design work
• Knowledge of JavaScript, React, and at least one major React state management system
• Experience using Figma, React, TypeScript, MobX, AWS, and continuous deployment workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Self-motivated, analytical thinker who collaborates effectively in a team
• Enthusiasm for the Restream product and its mission
