Design Engineer - AI Clips Team

Restream.io seeks a Senior Design Engineer for its AI Clips Team to lead product feature development from concept to implementation. The role requires expertise in UX design, Figma, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with remote work based in Switzerland.

This role is responsible for shaping product features from initial concept through design and into implementation, ensuring high-quality user experiences that align with Restream’s mission to empower creators through live video.

Responsibilities

• Develop product features in full, from idea to design and implementation
• Design and build UI/UX and business logic for new and existing features
• Create and refine features to boost user engagement and conversion rates
• Work closely with product, marketing, and customer support teams to define feature scope and product direction
• Participate in code reviews by giving and receiving feedback
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify potential opportunities within the company’s ecosystem

Requirements

• Strong grasp of UX design processes and strategic thinking
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellent user experience
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design and prototyping tools
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing past design work
• Knowledge of JavaScript, React, and at least one major React state management system
• Experience using Figma, React, TypeScript, MobX, AWS, and continuous deployment workflows
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, analytical thinker who collaborates well in a team
• Enthusiasm for Restream’s product and mission
