Mammut seeks a Mid-level Designer Apparel (all, 80-100%) in Seon, CH. The role focuses on creating innovative, high-performance alpine apparel while managing the full design process from concept to production.

This position aims to transform fresh concepts into tangible products that resonate with Mammut's customer base. The designer will lead the creation of technical alpine wear, ensuring each item meets high standards for performance, utility, and aesthetic appeal.

Responsibilities

• Develop top-tier alpine clothing that establishes new standards for technical capability, practicality, and visual appeal.
• Manage the complete design lifecycle, from initial idea to finished goods, including detailing workmanship specs and style guides.
• Apply seasonal color palettes to collections, ensuring commercial viability and visual cohesion.
• Articulate creative concepts clearly to various stakeholders, effectively advocating for design choices.
• Oversee the translation of designs into prototypes during fitting sessions.
• Collaborate with the creation team to choose appropriate fabrics.
• Analyze broad and specific market trends, consumer feedback, and target audience preferences to inform design strategies.

Requirements

• A university degree or recognized diploma in fashion, apparel, or sportswear design.
• Minimum of five years of professional design experience, with specialized knowledge in apparel and functional outerwear.
• Proficiency in design methodologies and research-driven product development, alongside a keen awareness of market and consumer trends.
• Advanced skills in creative design software, specifically Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• An organized, independent work ethic with a focus on precision.
• A proactive, innovative mindset centered on consumer needs and creative problem-solving.
• Strong collaborative skills and a genuine passion for design and product creation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Browzwear or Clo3D.
• Understanding of sustainability practices within the design process.
