Bachem seeks a Director of S&OP and Network Strategy in Bubendorf to lead the GSCM Network & Demand Center, driving global planning, supply chain design, and organic growth.

This position sits within the GSCM Network & Demand Center team and plays a pivotal role in supporting the company's continuous organic growth. The director will oversee global Sales & Operations Planning, supply chain network design, and product lifecycle management to ensure operational excellence and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and foster the professional development of the GSCM Network & Demand Center team.
• Oversee the forecast-to-plan workflow to maintain clear visibility into demand, inventory levels, and supply scenarios.
• Take full accountability for the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Design and implement global supply chain networks for new product introductions.
• Direct the global product lifecycle management process, including make-or-buy choices and inventory control.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, representing the GSCM function.
• Guarantee prompt and precise processing of customer inquiries.
• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, resilience, and performance.
• Hold complete budgetary and cost center responsibility for the designated organizational unit.

Requirements

• A university-level degree in a technical or commercial field.
• Advanced qualifications or education in Supply Chain Management.
• Proven experience in team leadership, encompassing both direct line management and matrix structures.
• Comprehensive end-to-end knowledge of supply chain operations.
• Fluency in both English and German, at written and spoken levels.
• Practical, hands-on expertise with SAP modules including MM, PP, SD, and QM.
• High proficiency in MS Office tools, with a strong focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
