Amazon Switzerland is hiring a Junior Early Talent Area/Shift Manager for an onsite role in CH. This position leads diverse teams, ensures operational safety and efficiency, and drives process improvements across all shifts.
This role serves as a hands-on leader within the operations team, responsible for guiding a large and diverse group of colleagues to meet business demands. The position provides direct insight into the complexities of global operations while requiring close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain high standards of service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Foster a workplace environment that prioritizes employee safety and wellbeing.
- Identify issues and implement corrective measures to guarantee quality, productivity, and achievement of business goals across every shift.
- Lead team members, manage administrative duties, and cultivate a positive and strong team culture.
- Review performance data to recommend process enhancements that optimize workflow and elevate customer service.
- Work alongside other managers to align and standardize shift procedures.
- Enforce safety protocols throughout the team and the wider site.
- Track and sustain efficient operational processes.
- Manage daily operational tasks and routine team administration as a top priority.
- Address individual escalations, drive process improvement initiatives, and plan for large-scale operational contingencies.
- Analyze performance metrics and business data in partnership with area leaders.
- Evaluate the operational implications of technical upgrades with engineering staff.
Requirements
- Hold a completed university degree before starting, or have graduated within the past 24 months.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in both written and spoken English, as well as the local language.
- Possess relevant experience in conducting data analysis.
Nice to have
- Currently studying or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including peers and senior leadership.
- Previous experience working in a logistical or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, in a professional setting.
