Syngenta Crop Protection AG seeks a Mid-level EMSR / Electrical Engineer in Muttenz, CH, to lead electrical and instrumentation projects and standards within a hybrid work model.
The company is looking for a specialist to serve as the local EMSRT Engineer, providing technical leadership for electrical, mechanical, safety, and reliability technology. This role involves planning and executing investment projects, setting engineering standards, and ensuring the proper design and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems across the site.
Responsibilities
- Define and enforce EMSRT standards for capital and local engineering projects.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership for EMSRT aspects within the CHMZ facility.
- Establish specifications for electrical and pneumatic instrumentation and sensors.
- Offer design and installation support for local engineering teams and capital expenditure initiatives.
- Identify, specify, and monitor the implementation of engineering standards for design, procurement, and construction.
- Execute smaller capital and operational expenditure projects on-site.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for EMSRT installations.
- Assess the condition of existing equipment and infrastructure.
- Develop scopes, cost estimates, and requirements for electrical installations in CAPEX projects.
- Control and release installation works.
- Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and system errors.
Requirements
- A completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with DeltaV and Siemens control systems.
- Proven experience in managing small-scale projects.
- Several years of professional experience in an industrial setting.
- Solid understanding of maintenance principles and change management processes.
- Knowledge of operational HSE and compliance requirements for CAPEX investments.
- High level of German and minimum conversational level of English.
- Willingness to work in a chemical production environment.
Nice to have
- Project Management experience in the Agrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Process industry.
- Experience in leading external resources.
