Engineering Planner (m/f/d) Visp

HHJ BAU GmbH seeks an Engineering Planner in Visp for a freelance, on-site role. The position focuses on maintenance scheduling, resource coordination, and cross-department communication to ensure equipment availability.

This position serves as the central point for organizing maintenance activities and ensuring equipment readiness. The role holder will lead planning meetings, manage resource allocation, and coordinate with the workshop during breakdowns to maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create and update schedules for all maintenance and calibration tasks, covering both routine and unexpected work.
• Flag any scheduled tasks that miss their deadlines.
• Work with production and customer teams to guarantee equipment is available for maintenance.
• Chair weekly planning sessions to address issues and ensure timely completion of work.
• Confirm that all planned activities have the necessary resources, including hiring external contractors if required.
• Source and distribute materials, spare parts, and consumables.
• Generate and present maintenance performance reports at set intervals.
• Regularly evaluate and enhance planning processes to support Lean principles and compliance.
• Serve as the main contact for the workshop during equipment failures to organize troubleshooting.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Requirements

• Hold an HND or HNC in an engineering or technical field.
• Possess strong practical maintenance knowledge across various equipment types, preferably within a pharmaceutical or GMP setting.
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts.
• Be an expert user of SAP PM.
• Fluently speak and write in both English and German.
• Have experience coordinating troubleshooting and breakdown response efforts.
• Be able to align maintenance plans with production schedules and staff availability.
• Show high accuracy, logical decision-making skills, and persistence.
• Work effectively as part of a team with a shaper or completer mindset.
• Be available to support the team as a contingent worker for several months.
