AurigaVision AG seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead chemical and biological safety programs for pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing facilities in Switzerland.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs tailored to pharmaceutical research and production environments. The role ensures strict adherence to Swiss safety regulations while managing chemical, biological, and hazardous waste protocols across laboratory and manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
- Create and roll out EHS initiatives specifically for pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing operations.
- Maintain compliance with SUVA guidelines, cantonal rules, and federal safety laws.
- Oversee chemical safety, biological safety, and hazardous waste management systems.
- Perform risk evaluations, conduct safety inspections, and investigate workplace incidents.
- Direct emergency preparedness strategies and deliver training for lab and production staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Safety Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Between 5 and 8 years of EHS experience within the pharmaceutical or chemical sectors.
- Solid understanding of Swiss safety legislation (ChemV, StFV, EKAS) and GMP standards.
- Holding a Certified Safety Officer credential (SUVA) or an equivalent certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
