Eurofins Electric & Electronic Product Testing AG seeks a Business Unit Manager for its Microbiology Pharma unit in Schönenwerd, CH, to lead strategic growth and operations.
This position serves as the primary leader for the Microbiology Pharma Business Unit in Switzerland. The successful candidate will hold full strategic and operational accountability, driving the continued expansion and success of the business within the region.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational direction for the established microbiology team.
- Oversee all budgetary, revenue, profitability, and capacity planning aspects.
- Ensure laboratory operations strictly adhere to GMP standards while implementing continuous process improvements.
- Expand the service portfolio and actively contribute to business growth initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Operations, Sales, and the broader Eurofins international network.
- Coach, motivate, and develop team members to enhance performance.
- Represent the Business Unit in interactions with customers, partners, and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Possess several years of leadership experience within a GMP-regulated laboratory setting.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of microbiological methods, including bioburden, environmental monitoring, utility testing, endotoxin testing, and media fills.
- Exhibit excellent communication and people-leadership capabilities.
- Have a very good command of both English and German.
