Finance Manager / Accountant

Future Kitchens AG seeks a Finance Manager in Zürich to lead accounting, payroll, and build automated financial infrastructure for its virtual food brand platform.

The company operates a system for virtual food brands, connecting delivery-first consumer concepts with partner restaurants throughout Switzerland. This position is responsible for managing the entire finance function of this rapidly expanding food business. The role focuses on establishing automated accounting workflows for restaurant partners and reports directly to the CEO while collaborating with Growth and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, and VAT submissions in compliance with Swiss OR regulations.
• Calculate and process weekly payouts to partners by matching platform revenue against agreed commercial terms.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, the board, and investors.
• Create financial dashboards to provide real-time insights into revenue, margins, payouts, and individual store performance.
• Develop and implement a fully automated accounting service for restaurant partners, covering payout reconciliation and revenue reporting.
• Handle monthly payroll for internal employees, including salary processing, social insurance, withholding tax, and annual salary certificates.

Requirements

• Completed commercial or finance education, such as a Fachausweis Finanz- und Rechnungswesen or an equivalent qualification.
• At least three years of practical accounting experience within Switzerland.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards (OR), Swiss VAT regulations, and Swiss payroll processes, including social insurance.
• Proficiency with modern accounting software like Bexio, Abacus, or similar tools, along with the ability to use integration connectors.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Fluent German language skills and professional-level English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with reporting and reconciliation for delivery platforms such as Just Eat, Uber Eats, or Wolt.
• Background in establishing finance processes from the ground up in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows and no-code automation tools like Make or Zapier.
• Experience using BI or dashboard tools.
