Finance, Operations & Business Support Intern

A 6-month full-time internship at MSD Switzerland in Luzern, offering rotation through Finance, Marketing, and Operations within a hybrid work model.

This position places the intern within Animal Health Switzerland for a six-month term. The role begins in Finance with subsequent rotations into Marketing and Operations, allowing the candidate to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real business projects while learning across different functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with profit and loss tracking, reporting, and monthly closing activities.
• Gather data, perform reconciliations, and prepare materials for monthly reports.
• Participate in variance analysis and provide commentary on financial outcomes.
• Maintain reporting trackers and help improve overall data quality.
• Handle ad hoc finance tasks and document processes.
• Rotate to support teams in Marketing or Operations as part of the program structure.
• Take part in routine tasks and small-scale projects within the assigned teams.
• Work with colleagues across departments to understand business priorities and workflows.
• Contribute to analyses, operational initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
• High level of attention to detail and a proactive willingness to learn.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent command of the English language.

Nice to have

• Prior experience using data analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of German and/or French.
