Financial Communications, Associate Director

Teneo AG seeks a Senior Associate Director for Financial Communications in Switzerland to lead client accounts, drive business growth, and mentor teams within the private capital and TMT sectors.

This position focuses on supporting existing private capital clients while simultaneously driving commercial development within private markets. The role also extends to supporting Teneo’s financial communications clients across the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector. A core objective is to help shape company narratives and influence how major corporate news is received by key capital markets audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee client accounts and guide teams to ensure delivery meets high standards.
• Manage, coach, and develop Senior Consultants, Consultants, and Associate Consultants.
• Lead large, integrated teams to create impactful strategies for clients.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior clients through strategic advice.
• Drive growth by expanding relationships with current clients and generating new business leads.
• Provide market insights and intelligence through media monitoring and industry networking.
• Handle client servicing, profitability, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Innovate for clients and the Financial Communications team through new thinking and product development.
• Inspire and motivate teams through mentoring and coaching.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a senior role in financial communications, IR advisory, or in-house.
• Previous experience working with private capital firms is essential.
• Financially literate with excellent working knowledge of financial reporting and corporate transactions.
• Excellent understanding of financial markets and business media.
• Proven track record in retaining clients and maintaining client relationships.
• Proven business development experience and ability to cultivate and convert new business leads.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills & effective presenting skills.
