Amazon RIVR seeks a Mid-level FP&A professional in Zürich to support the financial integration of a newly acquired company, manage month-end close, and build financial models for forecasting.

This position focuses on integrating a recently acquired business into Amazon's financial infrastructure. The role is responsible for executing month-end close activities alongside external accounting partners and internal finance teams, while also developing financial models to support forecasting and annual planning cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in merging a newly acquired entity into Amazon's financial systems, workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations, accounting, treasury, tax, and business units to facilitate the smooth transfer of financial data and procedures.
  • Oversee manual finance tasks until the transition to Amazon's automated systems is completed in Q4 2026.
  • Maintain integration project trackers, flag risks, and escalate obstacles to senior leadership.
  • Generate bridge reports connecting legacy financial systems with Amazon's platforms during the transition.
  • Contribute to Day 1 readiness efforts, including planning and validating system cutover activities.
  • Draft and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for newly integrated financial workflows.
  • Prepare and review financial and management reporting packages.
  • Work with accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate month-end close within Amazon's reporting schedule.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to shorten the close cycle time.
  • Ensure accurate and complete submission of supporting documentation and general ledger entries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookups, along with familiarity with financial systems.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close processes and knowledge of SwissCo and GAAP accounting principles.

Nice to have

  • Background in supporting M&A integration or post-merger financial operations.
  • Experience developing automated reporting solutions using tools like Tableau or QuickSight.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.
