Financial Business Partner in Controlling

Avaloq seeks a Financial Business Partner in Controlling for its Zurich office. This mid-level role supports Product Development's business goals through financial analysis, forecasting, and collaboration with key stakeholders.

As part of the Business Controlling Team, this position focuses on steering the business objectives and models for Product Development. The role connects critical business data with deep analysis to generate decision-making insights that align with company targets. It serves as a bridge between the finance function and partners like Business Area Heads, Product Owners, and Project Managers, ultimately driving innovation and profitability through financial performance analysis. The position reports directly to the Head of Business Controlling.

Responsibilities

• Track, evaluate, and present monthly results for the business area, strategic initiatives, and ongoing projects.
• Lead periodic project forecasting efforts, coordinate gap analysis, and oversee the process to close identified gaps.
• Organize and facilitate performance review meetings, including business case assessments.
• Manage target setting and budgeting processes across various division hierarchy levels.
• Examine and authorize commercial contracts within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Develop and execute materials for monthly book closing, covering accruals and project completion metrics.

Requirements

• A controlling background with a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Economics.
• At least five years of relevant experience in controlling, ideally within the financial or IT sectors.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems like SAP, Power BI, and comparable tools.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Fluent English communication abilities.
