Finance Business Partner CTO 50%

The company seeks a Finance Business Partner for the CTO function at its Zurich headquarters. This mid-level role focuses on financial planning, cost optimization, and strategic support for infrastructure investments in a hybrid work model.

This position serves as a financial advisor within the CTO department, bridging the gap between technology leadership and fiscal strategy. The role exists to provide clear financial visibility, guide investment decisions, and help senior tech managers optimize spending while fostering innovation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CTO and technical leaders to manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies.
• Deliver financial analysis and insights to back strategic initiatives and infrastructure projects.
• Track technology expenditures and spot opportunities to reduce costs and increase value.
• Build financial models and develop business cases for infrastructure and investment choices.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including variance analysis and clear business commentary.
• Maintain financial governance, compliance, and transparency across the CTO portfolio.
• Translate financial data into actionable recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a Finance Business Partner role
• Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
• Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including advanced Excel, SAP HANA Business, CO Pilot and Power BI
• Experience with investment appraisal and project-based financial management
• Fluent in English
