Front Arena Developer

Swisslinx seeks a Senior Front Arena Developer in Zürich for a hybrid contract role. The position focuses on enhancing the Front Arena risk management platform using Python and AEL/ACM/ADFL.

This role involves joining the Front Office Technology group at a major financial institution in Zurich. The developer will be central to building, improving, and maintaining the Front Arena risk management system, while collaborating directly with traders, risk analysts, and other business units to ensure effective delivery.

Responsibilities

• Create, tailor, and provide ongoing support for the Front Arena Risk Management platform.
• Engineer solutions leveraging AEL, ACM, and ADFL technologies.
• Build reliable, production-ready applications and integration layers using Python.
• Improve capabilities related to pricing, valuation, risk analysis, and trade lifecycle management for various financial instruments.
• Establish and sustain connections between Front Arena and downstream accounting and master data management systems.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk, Middle Office, and IT departments to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Engage in system upgrades, performance tuning, and production support tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in developing and supporting the Front Arena platform.
• Proven, hands-on proficiency with AEL, ACM, and ADFL.
• Advanced Python programming abilities, including object-oriented design and experience creating production-grade software.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets and products, specifically Structured Products, Fixed Income, and Equities.
• Familiarity with pricing, valuation, risk management, and trade lifecycle workflows.
• Experience integrating Front Arena with downstream accounting and master data management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Fluent command of the English language.

• Proficiency in the German language.
