CERN seeks a Fundraising & Partnerships Officer in Geneva to manage donor relations, secure funding, and support strategic financial goals through targeted campaigns and reporting.
This position focuses on securing financial and strategic backing for CERN by cultivating strong relationships with donors and foundations. The officer will oversee the full lifecycle of fundraising efforts, from identifying opportunities and preparing proposals to managing formal reporting obligations and ensuring donor satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute fundraising strategies tailored to specific CERN projects.
- Identify, qualify, and nurture donor relationships through meetings, events, and personalized experiences.
- Research funding opportunities with foundations, including drafting proposals and impact reports.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on fundraising performance and partnership outcomes.
- Work with internal teams to align fundraising activities with project objectives, including preparing donor agreements.
- Create and produce communication materials to support fundraising initiatives.
- Assist in the due diligence process for potential partnerships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fundraising, international relations, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in fundraising, grants management, donor reporting, and stewardship within a non-profit or charitable setting.
- Demonstrated ability to meet financial targets and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- Experience contributing to initiatives aligned with organizational mission and values, delivering measurable impact.
- Experience in fundraising for Science and Education or a related field.
- Experience in using software for Graphic Design.
- Experience in an international context.
