CERN seeks a Learning & Development Business Partner in Geneva to lead technical learning strategy, manage training programs, and supervise a team within a hybrid work model.
This position sits within the HR Learning & Development team at CERN. The role is pivotal in shifting the organization's approach from portfolio-based training to competency-driven streams. The incumbent will oversee Technical and Technical Management Learning Competencies, focusing on developing staff capabilities and driving the evolution of digital learning across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze technical and technical management training needs across CERN.
- Source and manage internal and external training providers to ensure effective program implementation.
- Lead the development of digital learning initiatives, including e-learning design, delivery, and partnerships.
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback surveys, data analysis, and reporting.
- Conduct a biennial Departmental Learning Strategy to gather learning requirements and outline necessary actions.
- Manage the Training Centre and its associated personnel.
- Oversee and monitor the relevant training budget.
- Stay informed about CERN’s scientific and technical challenges and collaborate with relevant committees and experts.
- Supervise a team of four, including contractors, staff, and a graduate.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to present learning portfolios and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or equivalent relevant experience in HR, Learning and Development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
- Knowledge and experience of Oracle Fusion (or another HCM).
- Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.

- Experience in the areas of physics or engineering.
