GBS Accountant, Accounts Receivable

The company seeks a Mid-level GBS Accountant for Accounts Receivable in Switzerland. The role manages invoicing, reconciliations, and period-end closing within a global business services team.

This position operates within a global business services team responsible for accounts receivable functions. The company develops solutions for the global food, feed, and mobility industries.

Responsibilities

• Post invoices accurately and promptly, applying the correct GST codes.
• Record incoming bank payments in SAP and notify the Operations team without delay.
• Prepare Debit Notes, FI Credit Notes, and FI Invoices in compliance with established requirements.
• Perform intercompany accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Execute period-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable.
• Identify and report operational process issues to the team leader and assist in resolving them.
• Provide backup support for accounts receivable duties of other legal entities as needed.
• Facilitate the transition of activities from various legal entities into the GBS framework.
• Maintain current operations manuals.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new team members.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• Possess 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts receivable, ideally within a Shared Services Centre.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable processes.
• Have practical experience with SAP FI, including proficiency in using SAP and Hyperion for journal entries and month-end cockpit tasks.
• Be advanced in MS Office tools, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Show proficiency in local accounting standards and experience with IFRS.
• Be fluent in English and one additional Asian language.

Nice to have

• Experience working in multinational companies is a plus.
