Biogen (Switzerland) seeks a Senior Global Diagnostics and Disease Area Strategist for Alzheimer’s in Baar, CH. The role leads global diagnostic pathway strategy and cross-functional collaboration.

The company is looking for a senior professional to lead the global Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Franchise strategy, with a specific focus on diagnostic pathways. This position requires significant collaboration across the value chain, engaging subject matter experts and regional teams to align commercialization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Create, advise on, and guide the execution of commercialization strategies for Alzheimer’s diagnostic pathways.
  • Oversee the Strategic Annual Process for the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Franchise.
  • Review and propose disease area strategies that support the broader pipeline objectives.
  • Coordinate communications with internal departments and external partners regarding commercialization plans.
  • Manage vendor statements of work and associated budgets for approved strategies.
  • Analyze competitive intelligence, market landscapes, and development trends to refine strategic approaches.
  • Lead complex projects and programs to ensure timely delivery within contractual boundaries.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree is mandatory.
  • At least 12 years of experience in patient care pathway simplification, disease area strategy, pipeline strategy, or the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.
  • Prior experience leading cross-functional teams at both global and local levels within the industry.
  • A proven history of directing strategies and providing timely, approved recommendations for diagnostic pathways and therapeutic programs.
  • Capability to handle multiple simultaneous programs involving cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Working knowledge of Alzheimer’s diagnostic development, patient care pathways, and commercialization processes.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborative initiatives with alliance partners.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

Nice to have

  • An advanced doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Alzheimer’s development, launch, or commercialization is advantageous.
  • Background in HIV, Oncology, Rare Disease, or Cardiometabolic development, launch, or commercialization may be relevant.
