Octapharma seeks a Global Market Development Manager for its Hematology and Critical Care units to lead educational initiatives and drive market growth across international affiliates.
This position is part of the International Business Unit, which comprises Haematology, Critical Care, and Immunotherapy divisions. The role exists to support global initiatives that enhance healthcare professional education, expand disease awareness, and drive market development within the assigned therapeutic areas. The incumbent will prepare and execute customer-oriented programs while supporting local sales and marketing organizations to increase market impact and portfolio profitability.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver global educational content, including live events and digital materials.
- Assist in planning and running international scientific activities such as advisory boards and expert meetings.
- Adapt global resources for local affiliates, ensuring scientific accuracy and brand consistency.
- Oversee the development of medical content for global education and customer engagement, maintaining compliance and consistency.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of global programs and disseminate best practices to affiliates.
- Support follow-up initiatives that align with the overarching global strategy.
- Contribute to product-related clinical projects and global activation toolkits.
- Incorporate insights from local affiliates into global strategic and tactical planning.
- Establish and maintain relationships with medical experts and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with affiliates to identify market needs and optimize activities through insights and competitive monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
- Strong scientific literacy.
- Business-level proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- Advanced scientific degree with training in marketing, medical education, or project management.
- Experience in medical education, scientific communication, marketing support, customer engagement, or international/matrix environments.
- Proficiency in German and additional languages.
