Global MSAT Senior/Principal DP Product Steward

Roche seeks a Senior/Principal DP Product Steward in Basel to oversee the technical industrialization and lifecycle management of commercial drug products within the global MSAT department.

This position operates within Roche’s Pharma Technical Technology department, serving as the global process and product owner for commercial items. The primary objective is to manage the technical industrialization of products from the initial manufacturability decision through to divestment, ensuring that commercial offerings remain validated, robust, and compliant throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for commercial drug products from launch to divestment to ensure consistent quality delivery.
  • Develop and execute strategies for technical industrialization and improvements to support successful launches and maintain cost-effective, compliant operations.
  • Manage the technical health of products, including strategic roadmaps, risk management, and performance monitoring.
  • Act as the main technical owner for site leadership and quality teams during investigations of product or process issues.
  • Represent the product in key technical governance forums and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Potentially lead matrix teams to oversee end-to-end technical elements, ensuring product quality, reliability, and the achievement of long-term strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific field such as biotechnology, pharmacy, or biology.
  • At least seven years of relevant industrial experience for B.S. holders, or ten years for M.S. holders, in platform-specific process development or manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience in drug product manufacturing, product and technology industrialization, and process development for biological molecules.
  • Significant experience leading cross-functional matrix teams.
  • Demonstrated background in technology transfer and/or process validation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory submission processes, health authority requirements, and patient-centric design principles.
