Global Product Leader

CSL Behring Vifor seeks a Senior Global Product Leader to oversee late-stage assets in the EMEA region. This hybrid role requires extensive pharma experience to drive strategy, governance, and lifecycle management for critical therapies.

This position is responsible for making high-impact decisions regarding medicines for patients with serious conditions, ensuring these choices are evidence-based and executed efficiently. The incumbent holds full accountability for a late-stage development asset, guiding it from late research through commercialization and lifecycle management. Additionally, the role serves on the Therapeutic Area Leadership Team and represents the asset at the company’s highest governance levels.

Responsibilities

• Direct a global, cross-functional Product Strategy Team that combines expertise in clinical, regulatory, commercial, manufacturing, and scientific domains.
• Define and advance the asset strategy through governance channels, providing clear and well-structured recommendations.
• Synthesize competitive intelligence, payer dynamics, patient insights, and new clinical data to inform strategic trade-offs.
• Drive lifecycle value creation by identifying opportunities for label expansions, new indications, and geographic growth.
• Act as the external representative for CSL in due diligence and partnership discussions.
• Maintain the Product Strategy Plan, updating it continuously as data and market conditions change.
• Equip governance bodies with structured options, clear trade-offs, and actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
• Proactively identify and surface potential risks early in the process.
• Foster a team culture that encourages early problem identification, shared accountability, and open communication.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of product leaders within CSL and contribute to the evolution of the GPL function.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical development.
• Proven track record spanning the value chain, from late research or early clinical stages through to commercialization or market access.
• An advanced degree is mandatory for this role.

Nice to have

• A PhD, MD, PharmD, or MBA is preferred.
• Prior expertise in therapeutic areas within CSL Behring’s portfolio is advantageous.
