Group Senior Manager Quality Applications

Octapharma seeks a Group Senior Manager to lead global Quality Applications, driving digital transformation and strategic IT partnerships for Quality and Manufacturing functions.

This role sits within the Global Business Applications organization, where the incumbent will partner with Quality and Manufacturing leadership to translate business needs into secure, compliant, and innovative digital solutions. The position is pivotal in advancing the company’s digital transformation of critical business processes across its international network.

Responsibilities

• Establish and carry out the worldwide strategy for Quality Applications, aligning digital tools with business goals, regulatory standards, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as the primary IT business partner for Global Quality and Manufacturing, converting operational requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Oversee demand management, business process optimization, and the full lifecycle of Quality applications on a global scale.
• Spearhead the rollout and ongoing enhancement of Quality applications, guaranteeing adherence to GxP, IT security protocols, architectural standards, and lifecycle guidelines.
• Direct strategic application projects from initial planning to execution, working closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and implementation partners.
• Guide and develop a high-performing global team, encouraging a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high service standards through application governance, SLA management, vendor oversight, and operational support.
• Manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets, monitor financial performance, optimize costs, and ensure measurable return on investment.
• Champion harmonized global processes and application standards, emphasizing user experience, business value, simplicity, and scalable digital growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in IT business applications, consulting, or digital transformation, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
• Demonstrated track record of managing enterprise Quality applications within regulated GxP environments.
• Deep understanding of Quality business processes, application lifecycle management, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading global implementation projects using Agile, PMI, or similar methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage external software vendors, IT service providers, and strategic partners.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic and customer-oriented mindset.
• Experience with enterprise Quality Management solutions in regulated GxP environments, such as Veeva, Trackwise, Generis, Ennov, or comparable platforms.
• Fluent English proficiency.
