STMicroelectronics seeks a Head of Global Privacy to lead data privacy strategy, ethics, and compliance across its 50,000-employee global organization, ensuring robust governance and responsible innovation.

This senior leadership position sits within the Corporate Ethics, Compliance & Privacy team, operating at the intersection of law, technology, and business. The role is designed to drive strategic privacy initiatives while fostering a culture of integrity and responsible innovation across a multinational semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the worldwide data privacy strategy to guarantee consistent, auditable compliance across all operational regions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer and executive leadership to enhance and unify business ethics and compliance frameworks.
  • Develop and enforce governance structures for global data privacy, integrating responsible AI and emerging technology principles like privacy and ethics by design.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex, technology-driven projects and data initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Legal, IT, Cybersecurity, HR, and business units to balance risk management with innovation.
  • Manage policies, conduct risk assessments, and monitor regulatory developments in data privacy, AI, and cybersecurity.
  • Influence and engage senior stakeholders worldwide to promote accountability and ethical practices.
  • Work alongside the current Head of Global Privacy to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of leadership.

Requirements

  • A senior executive with a proven history in privacy, technology, and legal compliance, capable of handling both strategic and operational challenges.
  • Over 15 years of experience in data protection, privacy, compliance, or technology law within a multinational setting.
  • Extensive knowledge of GDPR and other global data protection regulations.
  • Strong grasp of digital ecosystems, including AI, data architecture, and cybersecurity.
  • Ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Experience in developing ethics and compliance programs, as well as conducting internal investigations.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Recognized for sound judgment, credibility, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with pragmatism and impact.
