STMicroelectronics seeks a Legal Counsel for Technology Procurement in Geneva for a fixed-term role ending in February 2027. The position focuses on IT contracts, commercial agreements, and risk mitigation within a global semiconductor environment.
This temporary, full-time in-house role is based in Geneva and will run until February 2027. The position serves as a key legal resource for the technology procurement function, handling complex agreements and advising business divisions on IT-related legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial and technology contracts, including cloud services, IT outsourcing, software licensing, and data analytics agreements.
- Act as a secondary legal advisor on intellectual property sourcing matters.
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them in line with the company's risk tolerance.
- Review agreements and continuously improve legal forms, processes, and systems.
- Provide practical legal consulting to supported business groups, adapting to rapidly changing conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of IT contracts and advise on mitigating potential post-closing liabilities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in technology law or a related field from an EU Member State or Switzerland.
- At least 5 years of experience in an international setting, either in a law firm or in-house.
- Strong background in IT law, commercial contracts, and/or procurement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Basic skills in AI prompting for legal tasks.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills in an international environment.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Business-level English proficiency.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of French and/or Italian is a strong plus.
