Senior Legal Counsel L&E Corporate (EMEA)

Senior Legal Counsel for L&E Corporate covering the EMEA region, based at the VF Campus in Stabio, Switzerland. The role provides strategic legal support across corporate activities, with a strong focus on labor and employment law.

This position delivers practical, business-focused legal guidance for VF’s corporate operations throughout the EMEA area. While labor and employment law serves as a central pillar, the scope extends to governance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and supply chain matters.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed resource allocation plans and evaluate potential return on investment.
• Track legal developments affecting corporate governance, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate matters.
• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate structuring, labor and employment, and overall corporate strategy.
• Develop and maintain a consistent labor and employment governance framework across the region in collaboration with HR.
• Oversee the creation, negotiation, and finalization of key corporate contracts, including real estate, sourcing, and employment agreements.
• Develop and implement methods to identify and mitigate potential legal risks within the Corporate Business Area.
• Work with the Legal Ops team to design, implement, and maintain necessary compliance tools and procedures.
• Manage the engagement of external legal firms, ensuring their services align with budgetary constraints.
• Design and oversee educational programs for VF personnel on corporate-related legal topics and risk mitigation.
• Prepare and deliver reports to regional and global leadership on strategic corporate legal matters and predictive enterprise risk analyses.
• Participate in, and occasionally lead, regional and global compliance forums and strategic roundtables.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor or master’s degree in law.
• 10-12 years of dedicated experience in corporate legal responsibilities in multicultural environments.
• Solid expertise in Labor & Employment.
• English fluency is mandatory.
• Strong background in protecting intellectual property rights for consumer brands.
