Legal Counsel

Scherer & Bühler AG in Uzwil, CH, seeks a mid-level Legal Counsel to advise on commercial contracts, IT law, and corporate governance. The role requires a Swiss law degree, bar admission, and experience in contract and IT law, with fluency in German and English.

The Legal Counsel supports internal stakeholders by providing legal guidance on commercial contracts, IT law, and corporate governance, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation across business operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to internal teams on commercial contracts, IT law, and corporate governance matters
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, and IT-related agreements including software, cloud, and SaaS contracts
• Create and improve contract templates, policies, and legal standards
• Support ongoing enhancements to legal processes and tools
• Identify legal risks and track regulatory changes
• Translate regulatory updates into practical, business-focused guidance
• Work across departments and assist with governance-related issues

Requirements

• Swiss law degree and admission to the Swiss bar
• Several years of professional experience in a law firm or in-house legal role
• Experience in an international, industrial, or technology-focused environment is preferred
• Strong knowledge of contract law, IT law, and corporate governance
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial and IT-related agreements
• Independent, organized approach with strong teamwork, business understanding, and a solution-focused mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High integrity, reliability, and sound decision-making skills
• Fluency in German and English
