Head of Product (m/f/x)

Bring My Rental seeks a Head of Product in Zurich to lead the Product organization, including management, UX, and support, reporting to the CTO.

The company is looking for a leader to guide the Product department, encompassing Product Management, UX Research, UX Design, and Customer Support. This position reports directly to the CTO and serves as a key member of the leadership team, with a primary focus on establishing clarity, fostering accountability, and building high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop the Product team, which includes seven direct reports.
• Convert the company’s strategic goals into a prioritized product roadmap in collaboration with Product Managers.
• Measure product success by defining clear objectives, tracking KPIs, and relying on data for decision-making.
• Promote a customer-centric approach while balancing user requirements with commercial aims.
• Coordinate cross-functional strategic initiatives to ensure alignment and successful delivery across various teams.
• Create and refine product development processes and standards.
• Manage competing priorities between squads and work closely with Engineering leadership.
• Oversee the Product department’s structure, recruitment, budget, and long-term workforce planning.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance within the Product organization.

Requirements

• At least six years of Product Management experience, with a minimum of three years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in leading senior product professionals, driving organizational change, and delivering complex cross-functional projects.
• Experience in building and scaling software products or digital platforms.
• Strong leadership abilities to set expectations, drive execution, and make difficult decisions when necessary.
• A commercial mindset capable of balancing user needs, business goals, and revenue opportunities, with effective collaboration with Sales and other stakeholders.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into successful product execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of modern product management practices and sufficient technical literacy to work effectively with Engineering.
• Business fluency in both German and English.
