Takeda Pharma AG seeks a Director to lead its Supply Chain Data Products strategy in Zurich, driving digital transformation and data governance across global operations.
Based at the European headquarters in Zurich, this position is central to Takeda’s effort to modernize supply chain management through advanced analytics and digital products. The Director will steer the strategy, governance, and execution of data solutions designed to enhance planning accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage a worldwide portfolio of data products covering demand and supply planning, inventory, logistics, procurement, and customer experience.
- Define and maintain the technology roadmap for Supply Chain systems in partnership with Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) and business leadership.
- Lead the global Supply Chain Data Products team to achieve business goals via automation, optimization, and decision support tools.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data models, critical data elements, quality metrics, and stewardship protocols.
- Create structured frameworks for handing over data products to business process owners, ensuring effective change management and adoption.
- Represent the Supply Chain function in enterprise forums related to Digital, AI, Global Supply Quality (GSQ), and governance.
- Identify and implement innovative digital solutions that modernize traditional Supply Chain practices.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of data products, from problem framing and value case development to delivery, change management, and benefits tracking.
- Drive cross-functional transformation programs using Agile and product delivery methodologies.
- Guide the use of data science and advanced analytics, including forecasting, statistical modeling, machine learning, KPI analysis, and responsible AI.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data products that deliver sustainable value across planning, execution, logistics, and customer service.
- Build internal capabilities in data analytics, digital product management, and Agile working methods.
- Coach citizen developers, process owners, and key users to foster sustainable self-service improvements.
- Cultivate a data-driven culture by standardizing KPIs and accelerating the transition from insights to action.
- Promote the reuse of trusted data products and consistent working methods across the organization.
- Lead project teams in a complex, global, matrixed environment to deliver agreed milestones and objectives.
Requirements
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- APICS CSCP certification or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience across at least two cross-functional areas, such as Supply Chain, manufacturing, engineering, project/program management, commercial, or finance.
- Deep knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain processes, including demand/supply planning, inventory management, customer service, logistics, procurement, and post-launch support.
- Proven track record of leading complex business and digital transformation initiatives within Supply Chain.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including backlog management, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Expertise in data modeling, data quality, data governance, and modern data platforms and integration patterns, including APIs and ETL/ELT.
- Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA, planning solutions, and Supply Chain analytics.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases, opportunities, and limitations.
- Strong skills in critical thinking, negotiation, influencing, strategic planning, and program management.
- Business-level fluency in English.
