Business Process Lead (BPL) Data products, Director

Takeda Pharma AG seeks a Director-level Business Process Lead for Data Products in Zürich. This on-site role drives supply chain digitalization through Agentic AI and RPA to establish the organization as an industry technology leader.

Positioned within the Supply Chain organization, this leadership role focuses on the development and governance of data products. The primary objective is to advance digitalization and automation efforts, specifically leveraging Agentic AI and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to enhance operational efficiency. By doing so, the position aims to establish the Supply Chain division as a recognized technology leader within the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

• Establish, standardize, and oversee the enterprise supply chain data model across Takeda's data lake platforms.
• Guide cross-functional projects to ensure alignment with key stakeholders and drive successful outcomes.
• Spearhead end-to-end digitalization and automation efforts by identifying, developing, and implementing use cases that utilize AI and RPA technologies.
• Continuously refine data standards to maintain high levels of quality, integrity, and transparency.
• Create and deliver analytical datasets and decision-support models tailored to priority supply chain scenarios.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet requirements and are delivered on schedule.
• Manage the deployment and adoption of new solutions, including process redesign, training programs, and change management activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies that could benefit supply chain operations.
• Oversee cross-functional project delivery using established governance frameworks and tools.
• Build team capabilities in digital, data, and delivery disciplines through coaching and upskilling initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI or a comparable credential.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Data Science, or Statistics.
• Demonstrated success in leading business and digital transformation initiatives within Supply Chain Management.
• Hands-on experience delivering results using Agile/Scrum methodologies in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
• Strong data science and advanced analytics skills, including experimental design, statistical modeling, machine learning fundamentals, forecasting concepts, and KPI/driver analysis.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms and integration patterns such as APIs, ETL, and ELT.
• Business-level fluency in English.
• Expertise in systems and analytics, particularly SAP S/4HANA and planning solutions.
• Practical working knowledge of analytics and data-science tools like SQL and Python.
• Understanding of AI/GenAI use cases and their limitations.
