ICT System & Network Engineer (m/f/d)

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Senior ICT System & Network Engineer in Zug to design, secure, and maintain a global enterprise network infrastructure within a dynamic international team.

This position focuses on the strategic design, daily operation, and continuous enhancement of a modern enterprise network and security environment. The engineer ensures that the global IT infrastructure remains highly available, performant, and secure, supporting a fast-paced and collaborative business setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support core network components, including switching, VLANs, and segmentation strategies.
• Manage secure connectivity solutions, such as Network Access Control (NAC) and firewall systems.
• Oversee enterprise wireless networks across various office locations.
• Drive IT infrastructure projects from initial planning to final implementation.
• Enhance system architecture to guarantee scalability, security, and high availability.
• Coordinate with external partners and consultants regarding network domains.
• Assess, test, and procure new hardware and software technologies.
• Develop technical concepts and IT architecture blueprints.
• Create and refine IT processes aligned with operational needs.
• Monitor security events and execute responses to reduce risk.
• Handle software updates, patching, and device lifecycle management.
• Provide escalation support and troubleshooting assistance to the IT Service Desk.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in ICT system or network engineering.
• Completed vocational training in IT, a technical degree, or a university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Proven background in enterprise network and security, preferably with Cisco and Aruba ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless setups, particularly Aruba Access Points, Mobility Controllers, and Conductor systems.
• Ability to implement and maintain IT services in hybrid work environments.
• Fluent proficiency in both German and English.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Aruba ClearPass, Forescout CounterACT, or Barracuda CloudGen Firewall and Control Center.
• Deep expertise in Aruba wireless hardware and controller platforms.
