Intern Private Banking (fixed-term 6 months)

Rothschild & Co seeks a motivated intern for its Swiss Onshore team in Geneva for a 6-month fixed-term role, focusing on private banking support and client administration.

The Geneva-based Swiss Onshore team is expanding its capacity with a six-month internship. The successful candidate will integrate into the private banking unit, providing essential administrative and operational support to Client Advisors and the Investment Department while assisting with client maintenance and prospecting activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the opening of new banking relationships by handling administrative tasks and liaising with Legal & Compliance.
• Manage day-to-day client administration, including responding to inquiries and maintaining client records.
• Process payment and trading orders received from clients.
• Draft documentation and presentations for upcoming client meetings.
• Track task progress to ensure timely follow-up and completion.
• Create PowerPoint proposals and assist with Excel-based portfolio reporting and modeling.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Investment, Credit, Payments, and Securities Administration.
• Support marketing efforts by maintaining prospect lists, drafting letters, and organizing meetings or business trips.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings with clients or prospects.
• Assist in client servicing and prospecting activities in both French and English.
• Join client calls alongside Client Advisors and the Investment Department.

Requirements

• Hold a commercial degree, have completed a bank apprenticeship, or possess equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Be highly skilled in the MS Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• Fluently speak and write in both French and English.
• Be comfortable using the MS 360 environment, including Copilot, MS Planner, MS SharePoint, and MS Loop.

Nice to have

• Previous internship experience within the financial sector.
• A strong interest in and understanding of financial markets and private banking.
