Roche Chemical Manufacturing and Trading Company AG seeks an intern in Rotkreuz to support MSAT process improvement through data analysis, yield experiments, and line simulations for blood gas sensors and reagents.
The MSAT team is responsible for the manufacturing and quality control of Roche Blood Gas and Electrolyte Sensors and Reagents. This internship provides an opportunity to conduct deep-dive data analysis, run yield experiments, and perform line simulations to identify production potential and drive process optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Examine production processes and related data, including manufacturing costs, yield experiments, and quality control analytics, then report the findings.
- Propose and execute process improvement strategies based on Lean Manufacturing principles while adhering to GxP standards.
- Simulate production lines to detect throughput bottlenecks and convert simulation results into practical recommendations.
- Assist with process risk analyses (pFMEA) by preparing inputs, recording outcomes, and helping to identify or mitigate risks.
- Draft and maintain GxP-compliant documentation, ensuring sustainability practices are integrated into these documents.
- Document project knowledge effectively through Wiki articles to ensure clear information sharing.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master program, or graduated within the last 12 months, in life sciences, chemistry, process engineering, biotechnology, applied informatics, or a closely related discipline.
- Fluency in both English and German.
