Investment Associate

Energy Infrastructure Partners AG seeks an Investment Associate in Zürich to manage the full investment lifecycle within the energy infrastructure sector, focusing on global opportunities and internal markets.

The company is looking for a professional to guide investments from initial sourcing through execution and post-closing asset management. The role emphasizes identifying value in internal markets while supporting the broader team in creating long-term returns.

Responsibilities

• Source and assess potential deals in the global energy infrastructure space.
• Execute transactions by building financial models, performing valuations, and drafting materials for the Investment Committee.
• Manage due diligence efforts across technical, legal, financial, tax, and commercial areas.
• Help structure deals and negotiate terms with sellers, partners, and lenders.
• Perform market research to shape investment strategies that match the firm’s goals.
• Drive add-on acquisitions for existing portfolio companies.
• Support refinancing activities and optimize debt capital structures.
• Lead value creation initiatives for portfolio assets.
• Track key performance indicators to ensure assets align with investment theses.
• Maintain and update valuation models to monitor performance.
• Prepare regular reports for investors, lenders, and internal committees.
• Oversee liquidity planning, debt usage, equity drawdowns, and covenant compliance.

Requirements

• Graduate from a leading university or business school.
• Three to six years of experience in energy, utilities, M&A, private equity, or consulting.
• Deep interest in energy technologies and power markets, plus strong corporate finance and accounting skills.
• Advanced ability in complex financial modeling and valuation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
